I Thank Thee O God for A Prophet

I just finished reading President Monson's biography by Heidi Swinton. In my patriarchal blessing, I am counseled to study out of the best books and I can truly say that this has definitely filled that advise. I sustained this man as the 16th president of the church without reservation in 2008, but today I do so with a deeper understanding of who he is and how the Lord has prepared him to be the prophet today. I have come to LOVE Thomas S. Monson while reading this book. I had a dream last week that Janna and I snuck into a meeting in a neighboring stake and President Monson was there to surprise them so we hurried and got in line to greet him and he came right to the two of us to shake our hands. I feel loved by President Monson even though we've never met. I'm grateful for the example of his life and I commit to try and be more like him which will make me more like my Savior.

Lagoon

We had a fun time at Lagoon on Monday. It's fun to go to amusement parks with big kids. I enjoy being with my family so much. Family is what it is all about. We finished off the day by seeing Harry Potter. The only thing that would have made it better is if Amberly had been there. Next Monday, when we bounce back, she will be home to go with us.

Smith & Moorehouse

Had a fantastic campout at Smith and Moorehouse July 13th-July 16th. It was absolutely beautiful and so much fun to be with our camping friends. Can't wait for next year to do it again.

Sparkler fun

The kids figured out how to use the fireworks mode on my camera and had a lot of fun making words and designs with the sparklers. I love my kids. They always keep life fresh and fun.
