The Hurst Family
Our family was established on April 23rd 1988. Kevin and RaeAnn were married for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple. We have 4 wonderful children. Amberly, Cammie, Jeffrey and Janna have made our family complete. We tolerate a cat named Tiger who joined our family in March of 2000. We are very active Mormons who love Jesus Christ each other and our many friends and family. Have fun getting to know our family better.

Quotes to Live By

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.

It turns what we have into enough, and more.

It turns denial into acceptance,

chaos to order,

confusion to clarity.

It can turn a meal into a feast,

a house into a home,

a stranger into a friend.

Gratitude makes sense of our past,

brings peace for today,

and creates a vision for tomorrow.

- Melody Beattie

Testimony is what we KNOW through the power of the Holy Ghost. Conversion is being TRUE to what we KNOW. --Pres. David Miles

People fall away from the church for the same reason they fall out of bed. They aren't all the way in.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

Mother Teresa

‎"We need to teach our daughters to distinguish between a man who flatters her - and a man who compliments her. A man who spends money on her - and a man who invests in her. A man who views her as property - and a man who views her properly. A man who lusts after her - and a man who loves her. A man who believes he is God's gift to women - and a man who remembers a woman was God's gift to man...And then teach our boys to be that kind of a man."

Charity is what we are and faith is how we work. by Kleve Anderson

"Your life is your garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. If your life isn't awesome, you're watering the weeds."

You can never escape the responsibility of your example.

Revealing the truth is like lighting a match. It can either bring light to your life or set your world on fire. (from Being Erica)

"Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school." by Albert Einstein

"If you would tell me the heart of a man, tell me not what he reads but what he rereads." by Francois Mauriac

"Man finds it hard to get what he wants, because he does not want the best. God finds it hard to give, because he would give the best and man will not take it." by George Macdonald

Live Abundantly

The more you give, the more you get... The more you laugh, the less you fret...The more you do unselfishly, the more you live abundantly. The more you love, the more you'll find, that life is good and friends are kind. For only what we give away enriches us from day to day.

Charles R. Swindoll once said, “Words can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitudes toward life. The longer I live the more convinced I become that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we respond to it.”

‎"I long to accomplish a great and noble task; but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble"
--Helen Keller--

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone, And as we let our own light shine, We unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others.

Written by Marianne Williamson as used in Nelson Mandela's Inaugural Speech, 1994

Be not deceived by her defensive posturing, that a woman is not interested in the truest form of love. It is merely the natural consequence of a personal or vicarious hurt done to her soul. --RaeAnn Hurst February 11, 2012
